All appointments with the Writing Specialist should be made 24 hours or more before the material being reviewed is due.
When you come to your appointment, please:
- Print out the material you would like to review with the Writing Specialist
- Format the material in 12 point font and double spaced for the revision
- Bring a pen or pencil and paper so you can take notes
- If you can’t make the appointment please cancel as soon as possible so the time slot can be opened to other students
Any and all editing and correction suggestions made by the Writing Specialist or any teaching assistant working there are just that, suggestions. Students should in no way consider that these suggestions replace or override their professor’s criteria, and if students are in doubt as to the correctness or appropriateness of a suggested correction or edit, they should consult their professor or adhere to their own criteria previous to their meeting.
