Everyone is invited to attend the Eighth Student ALWR Research Poster Competition in the Atrium. Students will be showcasing their diverse ALWR research topics in academic poster sessions on Tuesday, April 17 & Wednesday, April 18 from three ALWR courses; Domestic Violence (Prof. Clausen), Employment Discrimination (Prof. Harthill) and Law of Information Technology (Prof. Ponte). Please stop by and check out their posters and ask the students about their ALWR research.
William R. Frehe, Coastal Law 3L, has won a second place award in the 2011 Edward F. Langs Writing Award Competition from the Information Technology Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He sent in his revised ALWR paper, Patent Law, Automated Inventing, and The Rise of Artificial Intelligence, submitted to Professor Ponte in her Spring 2011 Law of Information Technology (Cyberlaw) class.
As a second place winner, he will receive a monetary award and the publication of his paper in MICHIGAN IT LAWYER. Congratulations William!
