Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services
Primary Tasks: Assist in all areas of litigation including drafting orders, petitions, and discovery, completing legal research and writing memorandums, and assist with preparation for upcoming trials. Interns may observe court proceedings regularly.
Necessary Skills: Strong research and writing abilities required. Law Students of all levels encouraged to apply.
Time Commitment: Prefer minimum of 2 days per week, with 4-8 hours per day. Interns are welcome year round – if an intern wishes to stay on through the following semester(s) to complete their pro bono hours, that is welcome too.
** Interns will need to submit to a background check including fingerprints prior to starting.**
