The co-chairs of the Oyster Roast planning committee, including FCSL grad Michael Ziegler of the Law Office of Robert Eckard & Associates, are in search of 2-3 student volunteers for the upcoming Oyster Roast taking place on March 24, 2012 on the grounds of Florin Roebig (a personal injury firm), 777 Alderman Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34683 (http://www.florinroebig.com/locations-facility.aspx).
The Oyster Roast is a well-attended event held by the Clearwater Bar Association annually where local attorneys and judges put aside the adversarial process, “kick off their shoes,” and enjoy food and drinks from local vendors.
In addition to being a great time, the Oyster Roast can be a unique opportunity for law students to network with practicing attorneys. Mr. Ziegler can tell you from his experience – both as a younger attorney and from his involvement in recruiting at his firm in Palm Harbor – how much of a challenge it can be for a recent graduate to find that important first job out of law school. To have a professional network of attorneys and judges that can pick your face from the crowd can be an invaluable tool to help in your job-hunt.
This year, as in the past, they are inviting law students to attend the Oyster Roast for FREE (yes, free!) if they assist us with the cleanup process. There are a limited number of volunteer spots available, so if this is something that you are interested in, please contact Mr. Ziegler as quickly as possible, as the volunteer spots will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis.
1. Name, address, and phone number;
2. Your law school;
3. Are you available for cleanup on
a. the night of the Oyster Roast (Saturday, March 24, 2012);

Mr. Ziegler would kindly ask that you only offer to volunteer for time slots if you are genuinely able to attend, as they will be depending on your help. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michael Ziegler at (727) 772-1941 or Mike@roberteckardlaw.com.
