Judicial Clerkship Workshop on Tuesday, March 27th!

If you are interested in obtaining a judicial clerkship following graduation, it is imperative that you understand the intricacies of the hiring process involved. Judicial clerkships must be applied for at the very beginning of your 3L year – and many judges begin accepting applications during the summer months. Thus, the planning must begin at the beginning of your 2L summer.

What: A workshop on how to apply for post-graduate judicial clerkships

When: Tuesday, March 27th from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.

Where: Room 465

Post-graduate judicial clerkships are among the most competitive and coveted employment opportunities available to law school graduates. Judicial clerkships allow you to gain excellent experience and insight into the legal system, and prospective employers view judicial clerkships as among the finest post-law school training one can obtain.

This workshop will address the following topics:
• Assessing your candidacy for post-graduate judicial clerkships
• Where and when to apply
• How many applications to submit
• What to include in a judicial clerkship application
• Understanding OSCAR (Online System for Clerkship Applications & Review)
