The Equal Justice Works Career Fair in Arlington, VA, is the preeminent career fair for public interest minded law students and recent graduates. Over 125 employers (legal aid offices, public defenders offices, federal government organizations, advocacy groups, and nonprofits) will attend this year’s conference, and will interview students for internship and permanent positions. As you have likely heard, most legal aid and nonprofit organizations are facing funding cuts and staff layoffs, so it is especially important that students have this opportunity to interview with those few organizations that are actually hiring in this economy.
The Career Fair will take place on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. Students (2L’s and 3L’s) have until September 20th to register for the conference and submit their resumes to employers for interview selection. (Students who would like to attend the conference to gain more information but do not wish to interview, may register until October 11th). Students can follow this link to register (http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/law-school/conference-and-careerfair/students).
