U.S. Department of Education: 2013 Career Fair for Individuals with Disabilities & Veterans
Please join the U.S. Department of Education for the
2013 Career Fair for Individuals with Disabilities & Veterans
- When: March 11, 2013
- Where: 400 Maryland Ave., SW
Washington, DC - Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Meet and speak with Department of Education representatives about the federal hiring process, special hiring authorities and specific career opportunities that may be filled noncompetitively with qualified Individuals with Disabilities and Veterans.
Registration: To participate in this event you must show proof that you are a Veteran and/or an Individual with a Disability eligible for a noncompetitive appointment
To register, please send an e-mail to: iwdandvets@ed.gov, and include a copy of your Schedule A/Job Readiness Certification Letter and/or proof of Military Service (DD214 or Statement of Service Letter) no later than February 25, 2013. These documents will be used to determine your eligibility to attend the fair. You will be notified via e‐mail if you are eligible to attend no later than March 4, 2013.

2013 HNBA National Events: The Time is Now. Register Today!

HNBA is looking for reliable, dependable, and resourceful students!
We ask for a commitment of 10 hours minimum, in exchange for the ability to attend all Conference CLEs and events at no charge. A mandatory volunteer orientation will take place on Tuesday, March 15th at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. Law students who fulfill their commitment of hours have the Conference registration fee waived, and may attend parts of the conference during which they are not scheduled to work as our guest. Volunteers report directly to Liz Ugbomah, and may be supervised by other HNBA Staff.

AAPD’s Summer Internship Program |
AAPD’s summer internship program makes the Washington, DC internship experience available to motivated people with disabilities, developing a new generation of leaders and offering host employers access to a talented, diverse work force. Each summer, AAPD places students and recent graduates with all types of disabilities in paid 10-week summer internships in Congressional offices, federal agencies, nonprofit and for-profit organizations. AAPD provides accessible housing, a living stipend, and travel to and from Washington, DC for all summer interns.
