Free Webinar Regarding Smart Growth Planning

The Smart Growth and Green Building Committee and the Section of State and Local Government Law of the American Bar Association are hosting a webinar next Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Central (which means 11am-12pm Eastern). The topic is Smart Growth Planning which is a hot topic in urban planning right now. This would be great knowledge to have for networking and interviewing talking points. Summer Externship available at the City of Jacksonville Ombudsman Office

Jacksonville-Florida-City-SealThe City of Jacksonville Ombudsman Office has several openings for summer 2013 externship opportunities for 2L and 3L students. As an extern, you will earn school credit by working on issues regarding local legislation that will involve interaction with Mayor Brown’s office, the City Council, and the Jacksonville Office of General Counsel.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience in city governance and processes.

Amazing Last Minute Summer Opportunity in Palm Beach!!!

OSPThe Attorney General, Office of Statewide Prosecution has an immediate need for a summer extern in their West Palm Beach office. This is a for-academic credit summer externship opportunity with an opportunity to earn up to 5 credit hours.

Student extern will be involved in research, drafting, and organizing cases among other duties. The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution focuses its practice on long-term investigation.
