BACKGROUND
Before joining Florida Coastal, Professor Totty was a civil and commercial litigator in New York, Florida, and Georgia. His practice focused primarily on personal injury, contract negotiations and disputes, and insurance coverage. While in law school, Professor Totty was an assistant editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and editor-in-chief of The Pillar, Thomas Cooley’s student run newspaper. In addition to his responsibilities as an Academic Success Counselor, Professor Totty also teaches Pretrial Litigation Drafting and Interviewing and Counseling.
