BACKGROUND
During law school, Professor Jones completed internships with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the District of Columbia, Montgomery County State’s Attorney Office, and worked clerked for private law firms. Professor Jones was the Solicitations Editor for the Howard Scroll: Social Justice Law Review. As a member of the Law Review, she received a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement for her service.
EXPERTISE
Professor Jones first started her legal career in Washington, D.C. where she practiced with the Washington D.C. firm of Jordan, Coyne & Savits, L.L.P. Prior to joining the faculty of Florida Coastal in 2006, Professor Jones was an associate with the Jacksonville office of Rogers Towers, P.A. While at Rogers Towers, she was a member of the firm's Specialty Litigation Group. In her practice, she has represented clients in a variety of matters including, contract disputes, personal injury matters (both plaintiff and defense), landlord/tenant litigation, insurance defense, eminent domain/condemnation actions, and family and marital law.
