Ryan has been working as the Circulation Librarian at Florida Coastal School of Law since July 2006. He previously worked in the Circulation and Acquisitions Departments of the Nova Southeastern University main library. In his current position, Ryan oversees all aspects of the Circulation Desk including the Desk Attendants, the Reserves Collections, the issuing of all ID cards, study room reservations, and interlibrary loan (ILL) processes. He has research interests in intellectual property, space law, leadership, and process management.
Ryan is involved in the American Association of Law Libraries. He is a past chair of the AALL Leadership Development Committee and has been a member and webmaster for the Government Relations Committee. Ryan is also a member of the Academic Law Library and Reference, Information and Patron Services Special Interest Sections. In 2008 Ryan was selected to attend the AALL Leadership Academy. In between his regular duties and activities Ryan writes book reviews for Law Library Journal, Legal Information Alert, and Choice. He has articles published in Spectrum, Legal Information Alert, and Astrosociological Insights. Ryan has spoken on the topics of Leadership, Cross Generational Management, and Network Neutrality.
