Former Administrative Law Judge Charles Romo will speak and answer questions about effective advocacy techniques before the ALJ. Tuesday, February 28,, from Noon to 1:30PM in Room 420. This event will award 1.5 CPE credits.
He will also discuss appropriate proposed orders and memos of law that should be submitted that would actually help your clients’ case. He will also touch on the do’s and don’ts of presenting your case to the ALJ. The topics covered intertwine with professionalism and diversity because the speaker will discuss the difficulties and hardships of obtaining Social Security benefits for well deserving individuals and what processes and skills attorneys should utilize in and out of the courtroom to assist them in obtaining their benefits.

Phi Delta Phi is hosting a Mock MPRE Charity Event where students may purchase a $10 ticket to take an hour-long version of the MPRE, anytime from 9 a.m. to noon on March 9 in room 550. Then, at 12:15, Prof. Ritter will review the exam and answer any relevant questions. A student may earn 1.5 CPE credits, and all proceeds go to the Sulzbacher Center!
