Coastal Law honored by the Jacksonville Bar Association

Coastal Law received the Legal Employment Diversity Award for its commitment to diversity in the legal profession. President Stone and Dean DeVito, along with a number of faculty and staff, attended the event.

The JBA hosted a local panel of distinguished leaders and elected officials including Florida Bar President Ramón Abadin, Honorable Chief Judge Mark Mahon, Mayor Lenny Curry, State Attorney Angela Corey, Public Defender Matthew Shirk, Sheriff Mike Williams, Nat Glover, President of Edward Waters College and FDLE Regional Legal Advisor Laura Coln to discuss the foundational principle underlying the nature of relations among law enforcement agencies, local government, and the communities they serve.

FCSL LL.M. Programs Online Speaker Series



The FCSL Online LL.M. Programs Speaker Series is pleased to present Professor and Career Advisor, Natashia Hines, as this month’s guest speaker.  This presentation is Part I of a two part series offered by our Online LL.M. Programs about job search strategies in the U.S. legal market for LL.M. graduates and international attorneys.  Her presentation is entitled, “Leveraging Your LL.M. Degree and International Background in the U.S. Legal Market: The Job Search and The Resume (Part I).”  Part II of the series will take place in June 2016 and will focus on the interview process for legal careers in the United States.

The live presentation takes place online on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EDT).  During the presentation, Professor Hines will specifically discuss:

·         “Alternative” Legal Career Options that do not require Bar passage

·         Effective Resumes and Cover Letters
