Florida Coastal law students win national moot court competition

A two-person team from the Florida Coastal School of Law on Saturday won the sixth annual Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition.

Florida Coastal School of Law students Nina Cano and Alexandra Amador were named team champion in the Charleston School of Law’s sixth national Moot Court Competition.  In 2012, a team from Florida Coastal came in second in the Charleston school’s annual competition. Professor Lois Ragsdale receives President’s Award at JALA Equal Justice Awards

Florida Coastal would like to congratulate Professor Lois Ragsdale on being one of seven distinguished individuals selected for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid President’s Award at the 14th annual Robert J. Beckham Equal Justice Award Celebration on January 15 at The River Club.

Professor Ragsdale, who had been a board member for over a year, was selected for this award by the out-going board president for her dedicated service to JALA in 2012. The Equal Justice Award Celebration is an annual event for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, honoring the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism in the legal community in Northeast Florida.
