Florida Coastal clinics continue to help

Florida Coastal's in house clinics recently received praise from two local news stations as its work continues to help members of the community.

In all of the in house clinics, students, receiving guidance and supervision from a full-time faculty member who is a member of the Florida Bar, represent indigent clients who are referred from various agencies. Learn more about FCSL's in-house clinics.

Faculty Highlights - October 2014

Professor Kirsten Clement:  Was asked to serve as the co-chair of the Pro Bono Cooperation Committee of the Legal Writing Institute (LWI). 

Served on a committee with the LWI last year, which created, organized, and hosted a one-day conference entitled “Bringing Outside In: Social Justice Collaborations in the Legal Writing Curriculum.” This conference attracted speakers and attendees from both the legal writing law faculty as well as clinical faculty and practitioners in the field of social justice. Professor Clement also presented at this one-day conference, discussing the Coastal Law Public Interest Research Bureau. The Research Bureau provides free research and writing services to legal aid attorneys who have discrete research issues.
