Bar Character and Fitness Clearance

Application

The Character and Fitness Application must be completed through the Florida Bar Website. Make sure you look at: “Checklists, Forms, Study Guide and Information” on the left hand side. Once in this link, choose “Register as a First Year Student.” 

Fingerprinting

MorphoTrust USA must be used for the fingerprinting requirement. Click on the link to schedule an appointment. The cost is approximately $57.00. 

Notary Options

All Notaries require a government issued picture ID and that paperwork is complete except for your signature.

Standard 504. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE BAR
In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
