MOOT COURT HONOR BOARD
For over a decade, the Florida Coastal Moot Court Honor Board has been one of the most successful law school advocacy programs in the nation, and is currently ranked #1 in Florida and #14 in the nation.
The Moot Court Honor Board is a student organization comprised of 2L and 3L students who travel locally, nationally, and internationally to compete at the highest levels of appellate advocacy. Moot Court provides an experience similar to that of actual appellate attorneys. Students prepare written briefs and make oral arguments, learning the very best techniques in legal research and writing, analyzing case law, developing arguments, and sharpening critical thinking. The Honor Board provides a culture of familial support, hard work, determination, and excellence at oral argument and brief writing.
The Honor Board has open tryouts for second semester 1L fall-admit students each spring through Internal Competition, along with a summer competition tryout for 1L spring-admits. If you have a strong desire to establish yourself as an oral advocate, brief writer, student leader, and professional, the Honor Board wants someone like you.
